Activity: Slalom Course
What you practice: Match turn rhythm and placement to terrain features
- Gentle hill
- Use tennis ball halves, crushed aluminum cans, pieces of colored duct tape, or chalk as markers
- Course setting: w ~ 8-12 feet; h ~ 12-15 feet (flatter hills need larger h to maintain speed)
- Start with rhythmical course; with practice, set more rhythm changes
- Lighten and tip inside foot to make each turn
- Lift free foot or keep it on the ground - try both!
