Harald Harb and Diana Rogers started Harb Ski Systems in 1997 to help skiers ski better with less effort.
Harald raced internationally and on the World Cup with the Canadian National Ski Team, and was the Overall Pro Champion on the Eastern Regional Circuit. He then coached racers and directed race programs, producing some of the USA's most successful National Team members and Olympic medalists. After coaching for 20 years, Harald then spent 4 years on the National Demonstration Team. Working with recreational skiers, he was convinced that current ski teaching systems needed improvement. Harald created the Primary Movements Teaching System™ (now known as Direct Parallel®) and the Harb Skier Alignment System™ so that skiers could learn to ski quickly and easily.
Diana is a former Aerospace Engineer who now applies her technical expertise to bringing Harb Ski Systems' information to skiers. She takes the photos, makes the montages, and designs and lays out our books and manuals. She films and edits the latest and upcoming videos. She designs and generates the content for the Harb Ski Systems web site. She trains instructors at numerous ski schools in the PMTS Direct Parallel®, and has managed and operated Harb Skier Alignment Centers. As well, she is the sole partner in Harb Ski Sytems. A multi-year trainer of the Primary Movements Teaching System™ and Harb Skier Alignment System™, Diana's technical skills help bring Harb Ski Systems products to skiers around the country and world.
We published our first book, Anyone Can Be An Expert Skier 1 in 1997, and have followed it with Anyone Can Be An Expert Skier 2, our Instructor Manual, and Harald Harb's Essentials of Skiing. We have videos to complement each of our books, and we have many other instructional videos on different topics. Some of our videos are available as DVDs, while all are available for download.
We've been running our instructional ski camps since '99-'00. We currently offer ~10 sessions per season for skier of all levels from novices through all-mountain experts, including a summer race camp for juniors. Our camps have a high return rate and sell out quickly each season, usually in early summer.
We've had a brick-and-mortar ski shop in Dumont, Colorado, since '02-'03. Our specialty is selling and fitting boots, and performing equipment customization and alignment. We also fill the niche for skiers who want carving skis.
We've been online since we first started our business, with a web site, then a web store, and now on social media. You can follow us in many ways...
