PMTS Direct Parallel® Green/Blue Camp at Ski Granby Ranch, Colorado
As an alternative, consider taking a PMTS Direct Parallel® Camp at Welch Village, MN. Welch Village has excellent snowmaking and grooming. Their instructors are PMTS accredited, and several of them work at some of our camps, so you will receive top-level instruction. Click here to read more...
This five-day ski week is designed for the novice or intermediate-level skier looking to improve technique, develop better control and balance, and work toward more difficult terrain with PMTS Direct Parallel®. The camp includes three hours of lessons per day. The lessons will focus on efficient technique, with sufficient practice time and personal feedback. Video analysis will be used to help you improve.
An assessment of your alignment is part of the camp. The on-snow balance assessment will take place during the lesson hours, while a complete indoor assessment will take place on the afternoons of Monday through Wednesday, outside of the lesson times. Any participants wishing to make changes to their equipment as a result of the assessment will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis outside of the lesson hours.
There will be a maximum of six skiers per group to ensure significant personal attention.
Boots, Footbeds, and Alignment "pre-day"
If you know that you would like to get new boots, have footbeds made, or if you would like the complete indoor alignment assessment, we encourage you to come to camp at least one day early. This gives us more time to finalize your fit and alignment. Indoor alignment sessions for campers are offered at our Dumont Ski Shop on the days prior to camp. Contact us for more information.
February 6-10, 2017 (Monday-Friday)
approximately 9:00 - 12:30 each day
Lift Ticket Cost
Granby Ranch provides group-rate tickets for our camp. The price is approximately $55/day for adults, and less for seniors. (Prices TBD)
We have two social gatherings during camp (Monday and Thursday afternoons) where we meet for drinks and appetizers. Attendance is optional, but we encourage all to come. It's a lot of fun to meet the campers who are skiing in other groups. Dress is casual. More details will be given at camp.
