PMTS Direct Parallel® Tech Camp at Arapahoe Basin, CO
Start your season on the right track. The tech camp is aimed toward current and would-be instructors and technical enthusiasts. You must be comfortable on western blue and black groomed slopes to attend.
Each day offers a new topic—ski improvement, movement analysis, building progressions—using the Essentials. Work on your own skiing, learn what to watch for, and how to improve a skier—you, your family or friends, or your students. This is the ideal beginning to the season for Accredited instructors, or skiers planning to pursue Accreditation. Includes 3 hours of instruction each day with video analysis.
There will be a maximum of six skiers per group to ensure significant personal attention.
Boots, Footbeds, and Alignment "pre-day"
If you know that you would like to get new boots, have footbeds made, or if you would like the complete indoor alignment assessment, we encourage you to come to camp at least one day early. This gives us more time to finalize your fit and alignment. Indoor alignment sessions for campers are offered at our Dumont Ski Shop on the days prior to camp. Contact us for more information.
November 14-18, 2016 (Monday-Friday)
approximately 9:00 - 12:30 each day
Lift Ticket Cost
The camp price does not include lift tickets. Arapahoe Basin has many good deals for lift tickets, including season passes. We will send you more information on purchasing your lift tickets when you enroll, or as soon as that information is available through Arapahoe Basin.
We have two social gatherings during camp (Monday and Thursday afternoons) where we meet for drinks and appetizers. Attendance is optional, but we encourage all to come. It's a lot of fun to meet the campers who are skiing in other groups. Dress is casual. More details will be given at camp.
Travel & Lodging Information
Arapahoe Basin is one of the select few Colorado resorts that offer superior early-season conditions. We should have good skiing on a variety of groomed runs.
Arapahoe Basin ("A-Basin") ski area is located about 70 miles west of Denver International Airport on US Highway 6. There is no lodging at A-Basin. Most campers stay in Summit County—Silverthorne, Frisco, Dillon—about a 15 minute drive west of A-Basin.
