PMTS Direct Parallel® Super Blue Camp at Arapahoe Basin, Colorado
This five-day ski camp is designed for advanced and expert-level skiers wanting to learn or improve skiing the whole mountain, whatever the conditions—bumps, powder, groomed, ungroomed, and steeps. You do not need to have experience in the ungroomed to attend. There will be separate groups for all-mountain veterans, and novices to the ungroomed. Time will be split between groomed and ungroomed terrain according to the needs and motivations of the participants. The lessons will focus on efficient technique, with sufficient practice time and personal feedback. Video analysis will be used. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday offer 3 hours of instruction, while Monday and Thursday offer 6 hours/day.
An assessment of your alignment is part of the camp. The on-snow balance assessment will take place during the lesson hours, while a complete indoor assessment will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, outside of the lesson times. Any participants wishing to make changes to their equipment as a result of the assessment will be accommodated on a first-come, first-serve basis outside of the lesson hours.
There will be a maximum of six skiers per group to ensure significant personal attention.
Footbed and alignment "pre-day"
If you would like the complete indoor alignment assessment before camp starts, or if you think you might want new boots, we encourage you to come to camp at least one day early. Indoor alignment sessions for campers are offered at our Dumont Ski Shop on the days prior to camp. Contact us for more information.
9:30 - 12:30 (Tu, W, F)
Lift Ticket Cost
As part of our operating agreement with Arapahoe Basin, our campers must buy group rate lift tickets. (Please do not buy lift tickets with your lodging.) If you have a season pass at A-Basin, you do not need to get the group lift tickets; please let us know when you enroll.
TBD - Approx. $50/day
We have two social gatherings during camp (Monday and Thursday evenings) where we meet for drinks and appetizers. Attendance is optional, but we encourage all to come. It's a lot of fun to meet the campers who are skiing in other groups. Dress is casual. More details will be given at camp.
